Comprehensive ADHD evaluation, diagnosis, and non-stimulant medication management — delivered by a board-certified FNP via secure video, evenings and weekends, anywhere in Utah.
Stimulant medication note: Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, and other Schedule II stimulants require an in-person evaluation under Utah DEA regulations. We prescribe and manage non-stimulant ADHD medications (atomoxetine, guanfacine, bupropion) fully via telehealth. If stimulants are clinically indicated, we provide a referral to an in-person psychiatrist.
All ADHD subtypes and common co-occurring conditions — evaluated and managed with evidence-based, personalised care.
Most adults with ADHD were never diagnosed as children. Here's why — and what to look for.
Women with ADHD are more likely to present with inattentive symptoms — daydreaming, disorganisation, emotional dysregulation — rather than hyperactivity. These are frequently misdiagnosed as anxiety or depression.
Intelligent adults often develop coping strategies that mask ADHD symptoms through school and early career. The diagnosis becomes apparent when demands exceed compensatory capacity — often in demanding jobs or parenthood.
The restlessness, worry, and low mood that accompany unmanaged ADHD are often treated as primary anxiety or depression — with limited success. Treating the underlying ADHD frequently resolves these secondary symptoms.
Adults with ADHD often struggle with time perception — underestimating how long tasks take, chronic lateness, and difficulty planning ahead. This is neurological, not a character flaw, and responds well to treatment.
ADHD brains are often most active at night — leading to delayed sleep onset, racing thoughts at bedtime, and difficulty waking. Sleep deprivation then worsens ADHD symptoms, creating a difficult cycle.
Intense emotional reactions, rejection sensitivity, and difficulty regulating frustration are recognised features of adult ADHD — not separate personality issues. Effective ADHD treatment often dramatically improves emotional regulation.
