What gynaecological conditions can be treated via telehealth?

We treat UTIs, yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, PMS/PMDD, iron deficiency anaemia, thyroid disorders, postpartum depression, and perimenopause symptoms. Physical examinations (Pap smears, pelvic exams) are referred to in-person OB/GYN providers; we coordinate that care.

Can you prescribe birth control?

Yes. We prescribe all forms of hormonal oral contraceptives, patches, and vaginal rings, manage side effects, and handle refills. For IUDs and implants, we provide counselling and coordinate with an in-person OB/GYN for placement.

Do you perform pelvic exams or Pap smears?

Physical pelvic exams and Pap smears cannot be performed via telehealth. If you are due for one, we will provide a referral to an in-person OB/GYN or gynaecologist and send your records ahead of the appointment. We then co-manage your follow-up care.

Can you help with PCOS and hormonal imbalances?

Absolutely. We order the full diagnostic panel (LH/FSH, testosterone, DHEA, insulin, fasting glucose), confirm the PCOS diagnosis, and create a treatment plan that may include metformin, spironolactone, oral contraceptives, and nutrition coaching. We also discuss fertility and long-term complications.

Do you treat postpartum issues including postpartum depression?

Yes — postpartum visits include Edinburgh Scale depression screening, thyroid function checks (postpartum thyroiditis is common), hormonal rebalancing, breastfeeding-safe contraception, and medication review. Postpartum depression is treated with SSRIs that are safe while breastfeeding when needed.
